I look forward to serving the church in areas of Christian education, family and youth ministries, communication, and outreach.

Parish Worker - Beth Kelln
I feel very fortunate to serve Christ Lutheran Church as the new Parish Worker. I have been a member at Christ Lutheran since I was a child, and I was confirmed here. Members of the congregation might recognise me as a trumpet player, as I usually play at a few services each year. I am grateful to share my faith with my husband, and we were married at Christ Lutheran this past summer. I appreciate being part of such an active, caring congregation at Christ Lutheran, and I am excited to serve the church as the Parish Worker.
Before starting this role, I worked as a high school teacher for eight years, teaching a combination of Christian Ethics, English Language Arts, and English as an Additional Language. During my time teaching Christian Ethics, I saw how valuable it is to create safe spaces to discuss faith and religion, to ask tough questions and recognise that there are no easy answers. I also value faith spaces being inclusive and open to all.
I am grateful to be part of a church community that strives to grow in inclusion and allyship; as we remind ourselves at our annual Pride service and throughout the year, “God loves and welcomes all and so do we.”
